Agency Holiday Traditions – Joyner Family Insurance

The holiday season is more than personal celebrations; it is also an opportunity to embrace holiday traditions in the office. These traditions bring teams together and demonstrate commitment to the community. Joyner Family Insurance of Venice, Florida, is in full swing with annual office traditions. We spent some time with Agency Owner, David Joyner, and the Director of Marketing and Engagement, Chris Naletko, learning about their traditions and how they came to be.

David: Amazingly, it’s our seventh annual event this year. Initially, it started as a fun way to celebrate the holidays and say “thank you” to our valued clients, company partners, and community by hosting an Open House.  Around the same time, we were approached by Toys for Tots to be a donation drop-off location, so it occurred to us that it would be the perfect pairing to match our Open House with efforts to collect toys–and it has taken off since!  Everyone is incredibly generous in dropping off new, unwrapped toys. Some clients cannot attend our open house but, instead, drop off toys at our office!

Chris: This year, clients called us before receiving our “save the date” email to ask if we were already collecting toys! We anticipate over 300 attendees at the Open House event. Food will be provided by one of our local restaurants, Darrell’s BBQ, which is also involved in our community. At last year’s event, we accumulated over ten huge boxes for the Toys for Tots program, which was absolutely awesome!

Giving back isn’t just a seasonal activity. It can help employees feel more connected to their work and customers see the company in a positive light. How does your office celebrate the holidays? We would love to learn more and welcome you to email marketing@typtap.com.
