Giving back to the community is core to our mission. At TypTap, we encourage the well-being and personal development of our employees and community by offering team-building activities integrated with charitable partnership in the Tampa Bay community. Most recently, our team headed to downtown Tampa for the 2021 Bolt Run, benefiting the Lightning Foundation. Typically, Team TypTap participates in a local 5k race every quarter to promote the health and wellness of our employees and their families. This year’s Bolt Run marks the return of our tradition as the first company-sponsored race since the pandemic began and TypTap’s 5th year of participation in the event.
As a Tampa-based company, we seek opportunities to actively engage our team’s resources and leadership for the advancement of the Tampa Bay community, making the Lightning Foundation’s goals for the Bolt Run a perfect fit. As an avid runner, Amanda McAlister, TypTap’s Director of Human Resources, takes pride in this event and appreciates the opportunity to combine her interests with community involvement.
“Being a part of an organization that truly cares about the Tampa Bay community motivates and inspires me to not only participate in Team TypTap’s volunteer events but to also #DoGood in my spare time as well,” Amanda said. “Plus, it’s always fun to see your co-workers outside of work, whether it’s participating in a 5k, Paint Your Heart Out Tampa, or Keeping Tampa Bay Beautiful, it’s always a good time to serve together.”
TypTap’s commitment to Tampa Bay remains a core tenet in how we operate as a business and as individuals. We strive to create an environment focused on teamwork and overall well-being, allowing our employees to grow as leaders in their communities.
